Budget 22nd June 2010

The new Chancellor, George Osborne, called his frist budget on 22nd June 2010.

The new coalition government will announced it's plans and measures to reduce the record budget deficit.

Expected tax changes included a higher rate of capital gains tax of 28%, compared with a previous

of 18%. Other measures included VAT rate increase from January 2001
